December, 2007, Christmas
is just short weeks away. As we come to the close of the year 2007 we
can report that all Coastline Plastic water tanks are in stock in a
wide variety of colours in most cases. We will be closed from 4pm 17th
December through to the 15th January, when we will be partially
available for urgent orders. You can still contact us on 0413 066524,
fax or email in this time. We will assume full production from the
30th January 2008. May we take this opportunity to wish you all a safe
and Merry Christmas.

|
November 2007, All tanks
continue to be in stock and available within days depending upon
delivery arrangements, especially the underground water tanks and the
wall liner tanks. Though much needed rain has fallen in the past weeks
and a wet Summer is predicted, the drought will not be declared over
in the near future. Sydney Dams are at approximately 58% full and
drought proofing Australia is impossible. Water tanks will always be
needed. |
|
. August,
Sept 2007, All tanks
are in stock, including the underground tanks. We hear of many clients
being told they may have to wait until Christmas or 2008 before they
can get a tank elsewhere.
We can supply you with a tank tomorrow! We just
need to factor it in with our scheduled deliveries. Prices are still
stable which is good news after a turbulent price market since the
beginning of the year. Lots of areas of NSW, Qld & Victoria
experienced decent quantities of rainfall in the past 6 or so weeks.
Further water restrictions are not in the near future however the
drought is not broken officially.
July 2007, Virtually
NO WAITING TIME!
We continue to supply most tanks within a week of payment
arrangements. We have very little waiting time as all tanks
manufactured by Coastline Plastics are in stock at present, some in
various popular colours such as Merino, Beige & Wheat. Occasionally
the tank you want in a certain colour may not be in stock but if you
are in a hurry we have a tank available in an alternate colour. This
includes all underground water tanks.
In June 2007, The NSW
government announced the commencement of a
state wide rebate scheme
for retro fitted tanks. The
changes to the rebate system allow homeowners across New South Wales
to receive up to $1,500 to install a new rainwater storage system in
an existing home. In NSW, the rebates are not available for new homes
or where the Basix requirements are compulsory.
In April 2007, most tanks
are in stock and delivery is frequently completed within a fortnight
of the order. Unfortunately tank price increases had to occur after
the rapid rises in the raw polyethylene let alone fuel for
transportation in the last 6 months. After very strong trading for the
beginning of the year, we are fulfilling most orders within the time
specified time. We did experience some difficulty
accessing some colours but have overcome this. With the
global shortage of
polyethylene I
wouldn't be surprised if this happens again, though we will try to
anticipate the colour demands and have some in reserve, it is not
always possible to predict colour trends and popularity. The
larger tanks are kept in limited numbers due to physical size and
storage requirements for such large tanks. Also for this reason the
larger tanks are only available in Mist Green unless colours are
specifically ordered.

In March 2007there is rumors
of a
tightening of water
restrictions to
level 4. Are you prepared? |
| |
In February 2007, we are hearing
many reports of long waiting lists for tanks for some manufacturers.
We are proud to say that though we have had times of little stock we
are mostly able to deliver tanks within the
month
of order. Obviously this is not something we can
always guarantee, especially with the continuing plastic shortage, but
it is something we work hard at ensuring we keep our customers happy.

 |
In January 2007,
there is currently an Australia wide
shortage of polyethylene,
the raw material, so we envision that the range of colours may
be limited in the near future until the supplies are back to normal.
The demand of water tanks is very high yet the supply of raw material
is limited. Polyethylene is still the only food grade material
recommended by the Australian Standards for water stoarge. It is the
same plastic as what the 2 litre milk bottles are made from! |
| In
December 2006 we release Australia's
largest wall liner tank. At 5,200
litres it goes a long way to assisting people meeting the Basix
requirements in water storage. |
|
In
August
2006,
work
commenced on a 5,000 litre
wall liner tank. Though this
tank will have a large capacity it will still be narrow at less than 1
metre wide. Availability of tanks is expected to be late October.

This little fellow is not the same patented vertical ribbed design as
its larger siblings but it is still manufactured to withstand the
